Karen MacKenzie

Senior Research Fellow And Project Manager at Children's Medical Research Institute

Karen MacKenzie is a highly experienced researcher and academic with a focus on pediatric oncology and cancer therapeutics. Currently serving as a Senior Research Fellow and Project Manager at the Children's Medical Research Institute since July 2017, Karen leads investigation into malignancy in pediatric solid tumors and telomerase functions. In addition to this role, Karen holds a position as an Associate Professor at the University of Sydney, supervising research students in cancer biology and haematology. Prior to these roles, Karen was a Senior Lecturer at UNSW and held various positions at the Children's Cancer Institute, including Group Leader. Karen's research background includes significant contributions at the Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center and the attainment of a Ph.D. in Medical Science from UNSW.
