Melva Brownlee

Melva Brownlee has a diverse work experience spanning several industries. Melva is currently working as an Executive Assistant to the EVP/Physician-in-Chief and SVP of Ambulatory & Physician Practice Operations at Children's Mercy Kansas City since January 2020. Prior to this, they worked as a Consultant & Recruiter at Mary Kay Skin Care & Cosmetics starting from March 2016. From December 2018 to January 2020, they served as a Contract Administrator at DuBois Consultants, Inc. Melva also worked as an Administrative Assistant (Contract) at Jackson County, Missouri from September 2018 to December 2018.

Melva has experience in the academic sector as well, having worked as an Administrative Assistant - Provost & Vice President Academic Affairs at Avila University from March 2016 to May 2018. Melva also has a strong background in fund development, having served as the Vice President - Fund Development at Urban League of GKC from November 1999 to March 2016. Earlier in their career, Melva held roles such as Heart for Home Director at Heart to Heart International (1995-1999) and Director of Social Services - Health Clinic at Community of Hope (1988-1994).

Melva Brownlee earned a Bachelor of Science in Social Work from the University of Central Missouri from 1982 to 1986. Prior to that, they obtained a high school diploma from Southwest High School from 1978 to 1982.
