Children's Theatre of Charlotte
Chris Stonnell has extensive experience in arts education and community engagement within the Charlotte, NC area. Currently serving as the School Group Sales and Performance Coordinator at Children's Theatre of Charlotte since May 2022, Chris also founded and acts as Artistic Director for Post Mortem Players, which focuses on creating Stage Fright in the region. Prior roles include Director of Education and Community Engagement, as well as School and Community Programs Manager at Charlotte Symphony from 2006 to 2021, and Box Office Supervisor at Blumenthal Performing Arts. Chris has also contributed to K-12 education as a Choral Director at Northeast Middle School within Charlotte-Mecklenburg Schools and as a Choir and Theatre Director at Mount Pleasant High School in Cabarrus County Schools. Chris holds a Bachelor of Music in Music Education from Appalachian State University, earned in 2000.

Children's Theatre of Charlotte is a fully producing, professional theatre company whose primary audiences are young people ages three to 18 and their families. Annually serving approximately 300,000, Children's Theatre of Charlotte is unique among theatres for youth by placing equal emphasis on the production of high-quality professional performances and comprehensive educational offerings. Each season, Children's Theatre of Charlotte mounts 12 productions for public and school audiences and provides educational programming at the ImaginOn facility and multiple satellite locations throughout Mecklenburg County. Children's Theatre of Charlotte's home, ImaginOn, is a shared facility in partnership with the Charlotte Mecklenburg Library. This combination library/theatre was created as an original approach to education, learning and the arts. The partnership’s mission: bringing stories to life.
