Tom Mahoney

Tom Mahoney is currently a trustee at ChildServe. Prior to that, they worked as a trauma and family therapist at ENCOURAGE EMPOWERMENT from February 2020 to April 2021. Tom also worked as a trauma/equine therapist at Hope Community Services (formerly WVCCC) from September 2019 to February 2021. From January 2018 to April 2021, Tom Mahoney worked as a social worker at Mayo Clinic, where they supported transition planning and provided short term therapeutic interventions and resources within 90 days of hospital discharge. Additionally, they worked as an infant and early childhood therapist at Touchstone Health Services from May 2017 to May 2018, and as a family intake specialist at AASK Arizona - Aid to Adoption of Special Kids from September 2012 to December 2016.

Tom Mahoney received their Bachelor of Arts in Psychology with a focus on Family and Human Development from Arizona State University. After working in the field for a few years, they decided to pursue their Master of Social Work (MSW) from ASU's Watts College of Public Service & Community Solutions with a focus on social work. Upon graduation, they obtained their certification from the Arizona Board of Behavioral Health as a Licensed Master Social Worker (LMSW).
