Matias Alcalde

Matías Alcalde is a seasoned professional with a diverse background in territorial development, marine conservation, and project management. Currently serving as a Territorial Development Advisor at MH Inversiones since May 2023, Matías has also held significant roles at the Chile California Council as Coastal Marine Program Director and Executive Director since March 2019. Previously, Matías was the Attaché of Chile at the General Consulate of San Francisco under the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Chile from June 2019 to March 2022. Matías' experience extends to leading the Punta de Lobos Foundation as Executive Director, focusing on biodiversity conservation and community engagement. Additional roles include CEO and Board Member at Hotel Alaia, Porfolio Manager at EuroAmerica, Controller - Investment Analyst at Mater Private Equity, Business Development Manager at Patagonia Sur, and Hydric Resources Engineer at Tinguiririca Energía. Matías holds a degree in Civil Engineering with a Diploma in Hydraulic Engineering from Pontificia Universidad Católica de Chile.
