Melissa Villa is an accomplished professional in the textile and design industry, currently serving as Senior Vice President A+D at Chilewich since August 2023. Prior to this role, Melissa held key positions including Vice President of the Contract Division at JF Fabrics from February 2020 to August 2023, and Contract Sales Director at Chilewich Sultan LLC from February 2018 to January 2020. Additional experience includes serving as Regional Director at POLLACK, where responsibilities encompassed managing the showroom and sales teams, and as Outside Sales Representative/Showroom Manager at Innovations in Wallcoverings. Earlier in the career, Melissa developed expertise at Donghia in various roles, culminating as Textile Product Development Manager. At home in both residential and commercial spaces around the world, Chilewich products are designed at our New York City studio. Our design team includes master weavers who develop and refine innovative patterns and multi-tonal colors for collections that are renewed seasonally. Our desire for artistic expression is balanced by our commitment to reaching a broad audience and to creating products that retain their beauty and functionality over many years of daily use. Containing a minimum of 18% renewable vegetable content, our woven textiles are made entirely in the United States. The Chilewich factory in Chatsworth, Georgia, produces approximately 40,000 placemats a week. This 127,500-square-foot space is also where various backings are bonded to our textiles to create products for a range of applications.
