Aaron Downey

Aaron Downey has extensive experience in the pharmaceutical industry, currently serving as Director at Chimerix, Inc. since February 2009, where roles included Associate Director, Principal Scientist, Sr. Associate Scientist, and Associate Scientist. Prior to this, Downey worked as a Research Associate at PharmaCore, Inc. from February 2007 to February 2009, specializing in the custom synthesis of pharmaceutical intermediates and cGMP synthesis. A contract chemist position was held at Scynexis from May 2006 to February 2007. Downey's academic background includes a Master’s degree in Organic Chemistry and a Bachelor’s degree in Chemistry, both obtained from Virginia Tech.
