Lead Game Designer at ChimpWorks

Dylan Matthews has a diverse work experience in the gaming industry. Dylan currently holds a position as a Lead Game Designer at ChimpWorks since November 2022. Prior to this, they worked as a Game Designer at ChimpWorks from April 2022 to November 2022.

Before joining ChimpWorks, Dylan worked at Kabam as a Game Designer from October 2018 to October 2021. During this time, they delivered high-quality character designs, scripted various in-game elements, and collaborated with software engineers to develop new features.

Prior to that, they worked at Capcom Game Studio Vancouver as a Game Designer from March 2017 to September 2018. Here, they developed a power-budgeting system and designed unique gameplay abilities for playable characters. Additionally, they created custom AI behaviors to replicate each character's playstyle. Dylan also had a role as Developer Support, where they provided assistance for Dead Rising 4 and Puzzle Fighter, conducted testing, and contributed to QA processes.

Before their time at Capcom, they worked at United Front Games as a Quality Assurance Tester from January 2015 to February 2016.

Dylan Matthews attended Vancouver Film School from 2014 to 2015, where they obtained a Game Design Diploma with a focus on Video Game Design.
