Xu Cheng is a Professor at the Agricultural Genomics Institute at Shenzhen, CAAS since April 2022 and has served as a Guest Scientist and Postdoc at Wageningen University & Research since March 2010, focusing on the microbial support of plant growth under abiotic stresses. Xu Cheng holds a Ph.D. in Phytopathology from Wageningen University & Research, where contributions to plant growth promoting rhizobacteria were made. Additionally, Xu Cheng has been the Chairman of the China Agricultural University (CAU) Alumni Association in the Netherlands since December 2016 and has held various research roles and internships, including a Visiting Scholar position at UC San Diego. Education includes an MSc in Environmental Biotechnology and a BSc in Biotechnology from Wageningen University & Research, along with a BSc in Biotechnology from China Agricultural University.
