Simon Deng

Simon Deng is a Senior Vice President at China Investment Corporation since July 2022, specializing in emerging market debt investment. Prior to this, Simon served as a Portfolio Manager at China Asset Management Co., Ltd. from May 2016 to June 2022, overseeing QDII fixed income funds focused on global emerging market debt and China offshore credit, and previously held the role of Assistant Portfolio Manager concentrating on QDII investments in global bond markets with an Asian focus. Simon's early career included a position as EM Macro Analyst and Head of Dealing at ICPRC, a subsidiary of the State Administration Foreign Exchange, where responsibilities encompassed conducting EM macro research and executing trades. Academic achievements include a Master's degree in Financial Engineering from Nanyang Technological University and a Bachelor's degree in Financial Engineering and Economics from Wuhan University, along with an exchange program in Finance at the National University of Singapore.
