Kathy Chiam

Kathy Chiam is an experienced educator currently serving as a Special Education Teacher and Substitute Teacher at the NYC Department of Education since December 2019. Kathy has been a Head Teacher and Counselor at the Chinese-American Planning Council since February 2015, focusing on assisting students with homework and creating engaging lesson plans across multiple subjects. Additionally, Kathy held the position of Lifeguard and Swim Instructor at Chinatown YMCA from September 2017 to September 2023. Kathy Chiam earned a Master of Education in Special Education and Teaching from Hunter College in 2023 and holds a Bachelor of Science in English and Childhood Education from The City College of New York, completed in 2019.
