Janice Li has extensive experience in community advocacy and leadership, currently serving as a BART Board Director since December 2018, representing District 8 and re-elected in November 2022. As Board President and Coalition Director for the Coalition for Community Safety & Justice, Li contributes to efforts aimed at addressing violence and racial tensions within the Asian community. Previous roles include Advocacy Director at the San Francisco Bicycle Coalition, where strategic initiatives for promoting bicycling were developed, and Founder/Manager of the Grant Street Neighborhood Center, which transformed a closed library into a community hub. Li's career also includes an internship at the Parliament of Australia and experience in education through programs such as America Reads and Counts at NYU. Janice Li holds a Bachelor's degree from New York University and has furthered education at The Australian National University.
