Tom Martin is the current Vice President of Marketing at Chip Financial. Prior to this, they held the position of Head of Content at Chip from January 2019 to October 2020. Tom was responsible for leading the content strategy for Chip, which is soon to be the world's best savings account. From July 2018 to January 2019, Tom Martin was the Content Lead at Experian Consumer Services, creating and managing digital, CRM and marketing content for Experian's comparison product. Prior to that, they were the Editor, Banking at uSwitch.com from September 2014 to July 2018, where they were responsible for content management and strategy for uSwitch's 'Banking' vertical (ie affiliate marketing/consumer comparison for mortgages, loans, credit cards, credit reports and current accounts). In their own time, Tom Martin writes financial news, features and guides with a consumer focus. Tom also creates and researches richer content such as infographics, graphs and videos. Additionally, they generate email marketing content and strategy for the vertical and maintains an extensive content library. With their team, Tom Martin works in an agile environment with developers and designers to improve uSwitch's banking product with UX best practice, compliance guidelines and commercial strategies in mind. Tom also liaises with in-house PR team and external agencies to prepare releases for national press coverage.
Tom Martin achieved a Master of Arts with honours in Geography from The University of Edinburgh. Prior to this, they completed their A levels in Theirtory A, Geography A, English Literature A, Economics A at Denbigh School 6th Form.
They work with and Sam Leathem - VP of Growth. Tom Martin reports to Alex Latham, Chief Marketing Officer. Some direct reports include Pav Georgiev - CRM Marketing Manager, Daria Gerasimova - Head of PR, and Fred Adler - Community Manager.
