Jim Mathis

Jim Mathis has a diverse work experience in the healthcare industry. Jim is currently working as the Chief Compliance & Privacy Officer at Chirok Health since December 2023. Prior to this, they served as the Director of Certificate of Public Advantage at the Tennessee Department of Health starting in August 2021. In 2020, they worked as the Executive Producer at Healthbizcast.net. From October 2019 to present, they have been associated with Polsinelli as Of Counsel. Previously, they held the position of Chief Compliance Officer at UW Medicine from February 2018 to April 2019 and at Vanderbilt University Medical Center from July 2014 to January 2018. Jim also served as the Chief Clinical Enterprise Compliance Officer at Vanderbilt University Medical Center from February 2013 to June 2014. Before that, they worked as a Consultant at James S Mathis, Esq from March 2011 to February 2013. Jim has held the position of Chief Compliance Officer at Omnicare from 2008 to 2011. Jim Mathis has also worked as an Adjunct On-line Faculty at Chapman University from 2006 to 2011 and as Of Counsel at Waller Lansden Dortch and Davis from 2007 to 2008.

Jim Mathis received their Juris Doctor (JD) degree from Vanderbilt University Law School from 1987 to 1990. Prior to that, they completed their Bachelor of Arts (BA) degree in Greek & Latin at Vanderbilt University from 1980 to 1984. Additionally, they obtained certifications in Health Privacy and Health Care Compliance, respectively, from AHIMA and the Health Care Compliance Association in 2004 and 2002.
