Parthipan Siva

Parthipan Siva has a diverse work experience spanning various roles and industries. Parthipan co-founded Chirp in 2019, and prior to that, they worked as an Adjunct Assistant Professor at the University of Waterloo starting in 2015. From 2018 to 2019, they served as a Manager - Computer Vision Research at Sportlogiq. Before that, they worked at Aimetis as a Sr. Computer Vision Scientist from 2013 to 2018, where they were responsible for research and development of video analytics products for the video surveillance industry. Parthipan also held the position of Postdoctoral Fellow at the University of Waterloo in 2013.

Earlier in their career, Parthipan worked as a Computer Vision Researcher at Aimetis and Tangam Gaming Inc. Parthipan also gained experience in control systems integration at Can-Technologies Inc. and Brock Solutions. Parthipan started their professional journey as a Research Assistant and Teaching Assistant at the University of Waterloo, where they developed algorithms for detecting cell divisions in embryonic tissue.

Parthipan Siva began their education at the University of Waterloo in 2000, where they pursued a Bachelor of Applied Science degree in Systems Design Engineering. Parthipan successfully completed this program in 2005. In 2005, they furthered their education at the same university and enrolled in the Master of Applied Science program in Systems Design Engineering. Parthipan completed their MASc degree in 2007. Parthipan Siva then pursued a doctorate degree in Computer Science at Queen Mary University of London from 2009 to 2012.
