Leah McManus

Chief Of Party, Indonesia at CHISU Program

Leah McManus is an experienced professional in international development and health workforce systems, currently serving as the Chief of Party for the CHISU Program in Indonesia since April 2022. Prior to this role, Leah worked as a Technical Program Manager at PATH from August 2021 to April 2022. Leah's extensive experience at Chemonics International included positions as Country Project Lead and Health Workforce Systems Strengthening Technical Advisor for Indonesia and the Philippines, respectively, and HRH Informatics and Planning Technical Advisor for the HRH2030 Program. Earlier career roles included Technical Program Manager and Senior Program Officer at IntraHealth International, as well as a Program Associate at Curamericas Global, Inc. Leah also gained valuable experience as a Graduate Research Assistant at North Carolina State University and as a Legal Assistant. Leah holds a Master of International Studies in International Development from North Carolina State University and a Bachelor of Arts in International Relations and Global Affairs with a focus on French from Eckerd College.

CHISU Program

The Country Health Information Systems and Data Use (CHISU) program is USAID’s flagship data and information system project. CHISU supports country efforts to strengthen collaboration and alignment around priorities for stronger, more resilient, and efficient health information systems and data use—essential if we are to achieve progress at scale. JSI leads CHISU with partners RTI International, Vital Strategies, Pendulum, Jembi Health Systems, and Global Evaluation and Monitoring Network for Health (GEMNet-Health).
