Amish Joshi has a diverse and extensive work experience in the field of journalism. Amish started their career as a sub-editor with The Indian Express in Mumbai in 1990, where they eventually took on sub-editor and reporting assignments. Amish then worked as a sub-editor for The Financial Express in Ahmedabad from 2002 to 2009, where their responsibilities included writing daily market summaries. Amish later became a senior sub-editor for Mid-day multimedia Ltd from 2011 to 2013, where they edited copies filed by reporters and worked remotely. Amish Joshi also held senior positions at ETV Gujarati, Divya Bhaskar Purti, ETV BHARAT, and The Sandesh Limited, where they worked as a senior copy editor, senior sub-editor, deputy chief content editor, and senior sub-editor respectively. In these roles, they oversaw teams of journalists, reviewed articles, and wrote and edited news content. Amish is currently the Editor Chief Magazine for Chitralekha since January 2020.

Chitralekha group of publications was started way back in 1950 by Vaju Kotak, a journalistic legend of his times. The first issue of our flagship magazine Chitralekha (Gujarati) was released in 1950. Chitralekha has since gone on to become the favourite weekly of the largest, arguably the most affluent and the most conspicuously consuming community in India, the Gujaratis. For over 60 years now, Chitralekha has been keeping this community informed about news, events, culture, stories and more…. unfailingly every Friday of the week. It has been the largest selling magazine since decades - in Mumbai & Gujarat, across periodicity or language, having a circulation of over 2,00,000 copies.
