Kate Thompson

Kate Thompson is an accomplished legal professional with extensive experience in the alcoholic beverage industry. Currently serving as the Global Brands and Operations Legal Director at Pernod Ricard since September 2023, Kate previously held the position of General Counsel at Chivas Brothers since September 2018. Prior roles include Legal Director for Pernod Ricard EMEA and LATAM from 2016 to 2018, and Director at Drinkwise Australia from 2010 to 2016. Additionally, Kate directed legal and corporate affairs at Pernod Ricard Winemakers for nearly 18 years, and served as a Director at Wine Australia from 2008 to 2014. Kate holds an LLB (Hons) in Law and a BCom in Commerce from the University of Adelaide, where education was completed between 1989 and 1994.
