Rob Reynolds is the founder of Chocolatey Software, a company dedicated to automating processes on Windows. Rob was also a founder of RealDimensions Software, which developed Chocolatey. At Puppet, Inc., they worked as a Senior Software Engineer, focusing on Windows automation and contributing to core platform projects. Reynolds also has experience as a Technical Architect and Senior .NET Developer at VML, where they mentored teams and provided solutions for clients. Rob was a NuGet Core Team Contributor at Outercurve Foundation. In addition to their professional experience, Reynolds served as a 1LT in the United States Army Reserve. Rob has a background in programming and development, working in various roles at Heartland Crop Insurance, FHLBank Topeka, KDOT, and Kansas State MIS Club.

Rob Reynolds graduated from Kansas State University in 2003 with a Bachelor's Degree in Business Management. Prior to that, they attended Coffeyville Community College from 1997 to 1999, where they obtained an AA degree with a focus on Art and Agriculture. Before their time at community college, Rob Reynolds completed their high school education at Neodesha High School and obtained a diploma in 1997. In addition to their formal education, Rob Reynolds also obtained certification as a Microsoft Certified Solutions Developer (MCSD) from Microsoft in March 2005.
