Grant Coordinator at Choctaw Nation of Oklahoma

Leah Shearer is an experienced grant coordinator with a strong background in research and policy analysis related to Indigenous issues. Currently serving as Grant Coordinator for the Choctaw Nation of Oklahoma since May 2015, Leah provides strategic support in securing grant funding and compiling research data for proposals. Previous roles include working as an associate at the International Institute for Indigenous Resource Management, where Leah contributed to conference planning and grant writing, and internship positions focusing on research analysis and legal topics at various institutions, including the UCLA American Indian Studies Center and Industrial Economics, Inc. Leah holds a Master of Public Policy from Harvard Kennedy School and a Master of Arts in American Indian Studies from UCLA, complementing a Bachelor of Arts in History from the University of Houston.
