Leah Kennebeck has a strong background in political and advocacy work. Leah started their career as a Front Office Assistant at Ocean Peace Inc in 2010. Leah then held internships at the Institute for International Economic Relations and Progressive Strategies NW.

In 2013, Leah joined the U.S. House of Representatives as a Legislative Intern and later became a Staff Assistant for U.S. Representative Derek Kilmer. Leah also served as the Press Assistant for Representative Kilmer and successfully ran their first social media campaign ads on Facebook.

Leah then transitioned to the United States Senate, where they worked as the Deputy Press Secretary for U.S. Senator Patty Murray. Leah excelled in planning and executing press events, crafting op-eds, and writing speeches for the Senator.

In 2017, Leah joined Chong + Koster as an Associate Digital Strategist and worked their way up to become a Senior Digital Strategist and eventually the Strategy Director. In this role, they planned and executed multimillion dollar digital campaigns for political and advocacy clients, focusing on reproductive rights. Leah developed growth strategies and utilized various skills such as ad building, optimization, and writing.

Aside from their political work, Leah also held positions at the University of Puget Sound as a Student Admission Associate and Tour Guide, as well as serving as the President of the Washington Gamma Chapter of Pi Beta Phi Sorority.

Overall, Leah Kennebeck has extensive experience in digital strategy, communications, and policy-related work, making their an asset in political and advocacy settings.

Leah Kennebeck completed their Bachelor of Arts degree in Politics and Government from the University of Puget Sound, which they attended from 2009 to 2013. In 2012, they also briefly studied Politics and Economics at the Arcadia Center for Hellenic, Mediterranean and Balkan Studies and Research. Prior to their university education, Leah attended Holy Names Academy from 2005 to 2009. Additionally, they have obtained several certifications, including "Communicating about Culturally Sensitive Issues," "Confronting Bias: Thriving Across Our Differences," and "Diversity, Inclusion, and Belonging," all from LinkedIn, in July 2020.
