Gaute Gamst

Gaute Gamst has had a long and varied career in the software industry. Gaute began their career in 2006 as an intern at Schlumberger Information Solutions, where they wrote a master's thesis on interactive streamlines and synthetic seismic, and developed two Ocean for Petrel plug-in prototypes. In 2007, they took on the role of Ocean for Petrel Commercialization, where they wrote Ocean plug-ins to Petrel using the .NET and Ocean framework to validate new API developments. From 2008 to 2013, they were with Schlumberger, where they held the roles of Ocean Product Champion, Ocean for Petrel RE Product Owner, Ocean for Petrel Trainer, and Ocean for Petrel Support Engineer. In 2013, they moved to Blueback Reservoir as Software Solutions Manager, and in 2014, they joined Cegal AS as Software Portfolio Manager. Finally, in 2016, they founded CHOOOSE, where they currently serve as Founder & CTO.

Gaute Gamst completed their MSc in Petroleum Science from the Norwegian University of Science and Technology (NTNU) in 2007. Prior to their studies at NTNU, they attended Fagerborg vgs.
