Wesley Mathews serves as President and CEO of Choose New Jersey, Inc., a nonprofit organization dedicated to stimulating job creation and attracting capital investment to enhance the state's economy since February 2022. Prior to this role, Wesley accumulated significant experience as a Foreign Service Officer at the U.S. Department of State from September 2008 to January 2022, focusing on trade and economic policy across Europe, Asia, and Africa. Additionally, Wesley directed the New Jersey Economic Development Authority's Office of International Trade and Investment, fostering foreign direct investment and diplomatic outreach from March 2018 to October 2019. Wesley's earlier career includes a role as Senior Manager of Wireless Business Development at Nortel, where responsibilities included developing global pricing and commercial strategies for emerging wireless technologies. Wesley holds a Bachelor of Business Administration in Finance from Texas McCombs School of Business and an MBA in Finance & Accounting from SMU Cox School of Business.
