Walter Greenleaf, PhD has a long and varied work experience in the medical and technology fields. In 2013, they began working at Stanford University as a Medical VR/AR Expert at the Stanford Virtual Human Interaction Lab. In 2017, they were appointed Director of Technology Strategy at the National Mental Health Innovation Center. In 2019, they joined the Board of Directors of Sine Wave Company and became a Member of the Board of Directors of Brainstorm: The Stanford Laboratory for Brain Health Innovation and Entrepreneurship. In 2020, they became Chief Science Officer at Muse® by Interaxon Inc. and in the same year, they were appointed Chairman of the Board of Advisors at IVRHA (International Virtual Reality and Healthcare Association). Additionally, they have served as an Advisory Board Member for Joyance Partners, Mursion, and Sixense Enterprises Inc. since 2019. Prior to their work at Stanford University, they were Chief Science Officer at Pear Therapeutics from 2014-2017.

Walter Greenleaf, PhD earned their Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) in Neuro and Biobehavioral Science from Stanford University School of Medicine in 1985. Prior to that, they obtained a Bachelor of Science in Human Biology from Hampshire College in 1979.
