CHOPIN FOUNDATION OF THE UNITED STATES INC
The Chopin Foundation of the United States was founded in 1977 by Lady Blanka Rosenstiel as a national non-profit organization that supports young talented American musicians in their career development as international concert artists. The mission is also to make classical music, and especially the music of Frederic Chopin, accessible to everyone. The organization's flagship event is the National Chopin Piano Competition, held every 5 years in Miami, FL. An annual Scholarship Program and several concert series round out the activities in the Foundation's Miami headquarters. Regional councils carry on the Foundation's mission in Seattle, San Francisco and Barboursville, VA.
