Matt Lapierre

Matt LaPierre, CPA, CA has a strong and diverse work experience in various financial roles. Matt began their career at Emera as an Internal Auditor Co-op in 2006. Matt then joined KPMG LLP, where they worked as a Senior Accountant in Audit and later as a Senior Consultant in Advisory from 2008 to 2012. Following that, they moved to Alamos Gold Inc. (formerly AuRico Gold Inc.) as a Manager in Internal Reporting and Financial Reporting from 2012 to 2015.

In 2015, Matt transitioned to Jazz Aviation LP as a Manager in Financial Reporting until 2018. Matt then joined Chorus Aviation Inc., starting as a Manager in Corporate Finance from 2018 to 2020. Matt further advanced within the company, taking on roles including Manager in Corporate Treasury, Financial Planning and Analysis from 2020 to 2022, and Senior Manager in Corporate Treasury from 2022 to 2023. Currently, Matt holds the position of Director in Corporate Treasury at Chorus Aviation Inc. from January 2023.

Matt LaPierre, CPA, CA completed their Bachelor of Commerce degree in Accounting from Dalhousie University in 2008. Matt then pursued further education at the Atlantic School of Chartered Accountancy in 2008-2009, where they obtained their Chartered Accountancy qualification.
