Tong Zhao

Tong Zhao serves as the General Counsel at Chorus Capital since September 2024, bringing extensive legal experience from previous roles as Senior Counsel at Hillhouse from January 2020 to July 2024, and as an Associate at Kirkland & Ellis LLP from June 2015 to January 2020, focusing on Private Equity Funds. Prior experience includes working as an Associate in the Investment Management Group at Debevoise & Plimpton from September 2012 to May 2015. Tong Zhao's legal training began as a Trainee Solicitor, covering various practice areas including Corporate, Finance, Litigation, and Funds in Hong Kong. Tong Zhao holds an M.A. (Cantab) from the University of Cambridge and a B.A. (Cantab), Law, also from the University of Cambridge, alongside a Legal Practice Course from BPP Law School.
