Stephen Flynn

Stephen Flynn has a diverse work experience spanning different roles and companies. Stephen started their career as a Lab Demonstrator at Cardiff University, where they provided assistance and supervision to undergraduate students conducting experimental physics and computational laboratory sessions. After that, they worked as a Software Developer at Smart Transfer Ltd., where they developed software to automate data acquisition and extended internal reporting mechanisms. Stephen then joined HelloSociety as a Software Developer, where they were responsible for coding new features and products and maintaining crawlers. Stephen later worked at Appetize as a Software Engineer and then as a Senior Software Engineer, focusing on software development. Currently, they are employed at ChowNow as a Senior Software Engineer and recently transitioned into the role of Lead Backend Engineer.

Stephen Flynn obtained their BSc in Experimental Physics with Astrophysics from Maynooth University in 2005. Stephen then pursued their PhD in Astrophysics, specializing in Observational Cosmology, at Cardiff University / Prifysgol Caerdydd from 2005 to 2011.
