P. E. Sam Harlan

Sam Harlan, P.E. has a diverse work experience spanning over several decades. Sam started their career in 1971 as a District Engineer for Halliburton, where they were responsible for engineering for inland, bay, and offshore services. During this time, they primarily focused on cementing, well testing, stimulation, sand control, and drilling problem resolution. In 1976, they ventured out and became the Owner of Sam Harlan Farms, where they successfully operated an irrigated family farm that consisted of approximately 1700 acres of cropland, mainly cultivating cotton and food corn. In the 1990s, they had to make adjustments to the crop ratio due to declining water levels. In 1997, they joined CHR Solutions as the Director of Technology Consulting and later became the Vice President of Engineering. Currently, they are retired since May 2017, and their most recent endeavor includes running the Sam Harlan Fun Club.

Sam Harlan, P. E. obtained a Bachelor's degree in Agricultural Engineering from Texas Tech University from 1967 to 1970. Prior to that, they earned an Associate in Science degree in Pre-Engineering from South Plains Junior College from 1966 to 1967. Their secondary education was completed at Lazbuddie High School from 1962 to 1966. In addition to their degrees, Sam Harlan also holds a certification as a Professional Engineer from the State of Texas, although the specific month and year of obtaining this certification are not provided.
