Melissa Bauman-Fletcher is a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT) with a diverse work experience. Melissa started their career in 2013 as an Executive Assistant at People For People, a non-profit organization providing various services in Washington state. From 2014 to 2015, Melissa worked as an Administrative Assistant at Operation HOPE. In 2015, they took on the role of a Social Service Provider at the Georgia Department of Juvenile Justice, where they served as a Behavioral Health Clinician until 2020. Since 2018, Melissa has been associated with CHRIS 180, initially working as a Therapist in their TransitionZ Program and currently holding the position of Director of School-Based Mental Health.

Melissa Bauman-Fletcher, LMFT has a strong educational background in the field of psychology and marriage and family therapy. Melissa began their education at Yakima Valley College, where they obtained an Associate's Degree in Psychology from 2006 to 2008. Melissa then pursued further studies at the University of Idaho, completing their Bachelor's Degree in Psychology from 2012 to 2013.

Driven by their passion for family therapy and counseling, Melissa enrolled in Mercer University School of Medicine, where they earned a Master of Family Therapy degree specializing in Marriage and Family Therapy/Counseling from 2014 to 2016. This advanced degree equipped their with the necessary knowledge and skills to assist individuals, couples, and families in navigating their relationships and overcoming challenges.

In addition to their academic achievements, Melissa has also obtained several certifications. Melissa became a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist through the Georgia Composite Board in September 2019. Prior to that, they obtained the title of LAMFT (Licensed Associate Marriage and Family Therapist) from the American Association for Marriage and Family Therapy in May 2017. Furthermore, they have been recognized as a Clinical Fellow by the AMERICAN ASSOCIATION FOR MARRIAGE & THERAPY INC in July 2016.

Continuing to expand their expertise, Melissa Bauman-Fletcher recently obtained a Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion in the Workplace Certificate from USF Corporate Training and Professional Education in May 2021. This certification demonstrates their commitment to creating inclusive and equitable spaces in their professional practice.
