Nina Joy Mena, MD has had a diverse and extensive work experience. Nina Joy is currently the Chief Medical Officer & Child/Adolescent/Adult Psychiatrist at CHRIS 180. In addition, they own a company called NJoy LIFE Living In Full Empowerment, LLC where they offer online psychiatric services and live coaching sessions to help people reach their full potential. Prior to these positions, Dr. Mena worked as a psychiatrist at Locum Connections and CHRIS 180. Nina Joy has also held academic positions at Emory University School of Medicine and Morehouse School of Medicine. Dr. Mena completed their fellowship at Emory University and their residency at University of Cincinnati College of Medicine and Cincinnati Children's Hospital Medical Center.

Following that, they attended Wayne State University from 2005 to 2006, focusing on Biology/Biological Sciences. Later, from 2009 to 2013, they attended the Michigan State University College of Human Medicine, where they earned their Doctor of Medicine (MD) degree.

In terms of additional certifications, Dr. Mena obtained the American Board of Psychiatry and Neurology certifications in General Psychiatry in September 2019 and in Child & Adolescent Psychiatry in September 2021.
