Harvey Stern

Director, Plastic & Reconstructive Surgery at Chris O'Brien Lifehouse

Harvey is the director of plastic and reconstructive surgery at Chris O’Brien LIfehouse.

He has published extensively in surgical literature, and has been the invited scientific visitor at a number of international surgical meetings and panels.

Harvey has also served as a nominated clinical expert for the Australian Department of Health and Ageing on its Medical Services Advisory Panel, Prosthesis Listing Advisory Committee, and continues to provide services as a consultant surgeon expert for the Health Care Complaints Commission and the NSW Medical Council.

Harvey is an honours medical graduate from the University of Sydney. He completed his plastic and reconstructive surgical training in both Sydney and Edinburgh, before completing a further fellowship at Emory University in Atlanta, USA, specialising in plastic surgery of the breast and chest.
