Emma Johnson

Senior Project Manager-team Lead at Department of Internal Affairs (NZ)

Emma Johnson has extensive work experience as a Senior Project Manager and Team Lead at the Department of Internal Affairs (NZ) since 2021. Prior to that, they worked as a Senior Project Manager at the Ministry of Education of New Zealand, where they led the Aotearoa New Zealand's histories project and implemented improvements to the project structure and team collaboration. Emma also served as a Senior Project Manager and Products Portfolio Lead at the Open Polytechnic of New Zealand, where they successfully managed various projects and led a team during the challenging Covid-19 period. Additionally, Emma has experience as an Executive Officer at the NZ Association of Registered Hairdressers and Operations Manager at Be Gorgeous. Emma has a strong track record of delivering projects on time and within budget, leading teams, and implementing process improvements.

Emma Johnson attended Upper Hutt College from 1992 to 1996. Emma is currently studying for a Diploma in Business at the Open Polytechnic of New Zealand. Emma has obtained several certifications, including AgilePM Foundation and Practitioner from APMG International in 2019, PRINCE2 2017 Practitioner from ILX Group in 2018, Change Management Foundation from APMG International in 2018, and PRINCE2 Foundation Certification Training from ILX Group in 2016. Emma also holds a Change Management Practitioner certification from APMG International.
