Natalie Kerschner is a seasoned professional in user experience research and design, currently serving as a Senior User Experience Researcher at the Department of Internal Affairs in New Zealand since April 2025. With extensive experience in various roles, including business ownership at Kapiti Boutique Cattery since September 2013, Kerschner has a strong background in leading teams and conducting research. Previous positions include Senior User Experience Researcher at the Ministry for Primary Industries and Senior Service Designer at New Zealand Customs Service, where cross-agency research significantly informed operational processes. Earlier roles at the Tertiary Education Commission as Product Design Team Lead and at Bank of New Zealand as User Experience Research Director highlight Kerschner's ability to manage and develop UX research teams to enhance customer outcomes. Foundational roles in usability and testing began in 2000, with an educational background that includes a Bachelor of Education in Multimedia from Southern Cross University.
