Ojobo Ode Atuluku

International Programmes Director at Christian Aid

Ojobo is Director of International Programmes providing strategic leadership and inspiration for the widely dispersed and diverse high performing development and humanitarian programming teams across Christian Aid and its justice wheel. She is committed to the underlying ideology of equality, localisation, anti-racism/ethnicism and decolonisation particularly in the face of climate and other crises. She oversees institutional funding and the quality of impact and depth of agency of people at the frontline of Christian Aid’s work.

Ojobo’s experience spans over three decades across the public and private sector and in civil society. She is a human rights and social justice advocate. She was presented by the Government of Nigeria for election to the United Nations Committee on the Rights of the Child in 2007. She is a co-designer of the GEADOR methodology for mainstreaming gender in community decision making.

Ojobo holds a Bachelor of Laws (Hons) from the University of Jos, Barrister-at-Law (Hons) from the Nigerian Law School, and a Master’s in Public Administration from the Harvard School of Government. She is a graduate of the New Creation Bible School and is a member of several professional bodies and civil society organisations. She is the current Chair of the End Water Poverty Steering Committee. Ojobo joins Christian Aid from ActionAid International.
