Jacki Matter

Jacki Matter grew up on a farm near Oskaloosa, Iowa. She graduated from Calvin College in Grand Rapids, Michigan, with a secondary education degree in German and English. She taught those subjects for five years at Lynden Christian High School and then taught as a substitute for 11 more years. Jacki also has worked at Ace Hardware and the Lynden Tribune, where she is currently a proofreader in the advertising department.

Jacki is very involved in various ways at Third Christian Reformed Church. She served on the Lynden Music Festival Committee for four years, accompanied the Kings Men of Song for its first eight years, and volunteered for many years at Second Chance. Her favorite thing to do is sit at the piano and play through an entire music book.
