Joe Tanis

Joe Tanis is a seasoned commercial drone operator and freelance photographer with extensive experience in jewelry, architectural, and still life photography. Since 1994, Joe has operated Joe Tanis Photography, focusing on drone video and photography projects. Currently, Joe works with various clients, including Industrial Color, capturing high-end jewelry for Christie’s, and collaborating with Style Me Pretty on a year-long campaign. Additional freelance projects include photography for Rainbow Apparel Co and Matter Surfaces, where Joe works closely with creative teams for impactful visual content. Previously, Joe held the position of Senior Jewelry Photographer at Barneys New York, where innovative photography systems and practices were developed for jewelry presentation. Joe's career also includes experience in lighting design with Reebok from 2001 to 2005.
