Kevin Hughes

Kevin Hughes has an extensive background in student affairs, currently serving as the Vice President of Student Affairs and Dean of Students at Christopher Newport University since September 2000. Prior experience includes roles as Dean of Students and Director of the Center for Honor Enrichment & Community Standards at the same institution, as well as positions at North Carolina Wesleyan College as Associate Dean of Students and Director of Campus Activities and Summer Programs. Kevin also held various positions at Carnegie Mellon University, contributing to leadership and experiential education. Academic qualifications include a Ph.D. in Educational Policy, Planning, & Leadership from William & Mary, an MEd. in Student Affairs from the University of South Carolina, and a BA in History/Political Science from James Madison University.
