Niklas Kunkel

Niklas Kunkel is an experienced entrepreneur and technology leader in the blockchain space. As the Founder of Chronicle Labs since January 2022, Kunkel has developed a decentralized Oracle protocol that secures over $9 billion in assets, supporting major DeFi projects like MakerDAO. Previously, during a four-year tenure at MakerDAO, Kunkel held roles as Oracle Core Unit Facilitator and Head of Backend & Oracles, where important innovations such as the Dai stablecoin, decentralized oracles, and OasisDex were developed. Kunkel's early career included work as a Software Engineer at IBM, focusing on blockchain solutions. Kunkel holds a Bachelor of Science in Computer Engineering from Boston University.
