Jay Thomson

Jay Thomson is a seasoned professional in the arts and museum retail sectors, currently serving as the Museum Shop Manager at the Chrysler Museum of Art since December 2019. With extensive experience as a Fine Artist at Greene Street Artists Corp. since 2006, Thomson also held the position of Assistant Manager at the Barnes Foundation Shop, where a focus on high-quality artisanal goods and art reproductions was prevalent. Previous entrepreneurial experience includes founding and leading Amoeba Art Shop LLC, an independent art materials and gifts business. Thomson began a career in operations management at Need in Deed, overseeing various administrative functions. Academic qualifications include an MFA in Fine Art (Glass) from Tyler School of Art and a BFA in Fine Art (Drawing & Painting) from Southern Illinois University, Carbondale.
