Olivier Mairesse

Olivier Mairesse is a seasoned professional in the field of behavioral neurosciences, currently serving as a somnologist and research coordinator at CHU Brugmann since January 2013. In addition to this role, Olivier has held the position of assistant professor at Vrije Universiteit Brussel since October 2012, focusing on sleep research. Olivier also contributes as a post-doctoral research fellow with the Royal Military Academy in Belgium, working on the NEUROPOLE project, which explores the alteration of sleep-wake regulation across seasonal changes. Olivier's academic journey includes a PhD in Psychological Sciences from Vrije Universiteit Brussel and earlier educational credentials in Modern Languages and Economics. Additionally, Olivier has experience as a freelance collaborator and has previously held various research and teaching positions in esteemed institutions.
