Nicolas Givelet

Nicolas Givelet is a seasoned professional in environmental insurance, currently serving as the Chief Operating Officer for Casualty in Continental Europe, the Middle East, and North Africa at Chubb since September 2013. In this role, Nicolas is responsible for leading the Environmental insurance line of business and overseeing its strategy, development, and financial performance across these regions. Previous positions include Technical Underwriting Manager and Engineering Manager, where Nicolas focused on maintaining technical consistency and providing engineering services to enhance risk management programs. Prior experience in the industry includes underwriting roles at AXA Corporate Solutions and Marsh, as well as engineering positions at BURGEAP and HPC Envirotec SAS. Nicolas holds a PhD in Environmental Geosciences from the University of Bern and dual MSc and BSc degrees in Earth Sciences from Université Grenoble Alpes. Additionally, Nicolas is a certified ski instructor from Ecole Nationale de Ski et d’Alpinisme.
