Tom van Buskirk

Tom Van Buskirk is an experienced professional in the field of casualty claims and insurance, currently serving as the Director of Technical Claims - Casualty at Church Mutual Insurance Company since April 2019. In this role, Tom oversees technical guidance for the commercial casualty group, handling various liability issues and collaborating with product and underwriting teams. Previously, Tom held positions at Nationwide and QBE North America, focusing on complex loss and large loss claims, as well as litigation management. Tom began a legal career as an attorney at Burg Simpson Eldredge Hersh & Jardine, specializing in casualty and specialty liability matters. Tom earned a Juris Doctor from the University of Denver - Sturm College of Law and a Bachelor of Arts in Economics from Claremont McKenna College.
