Tracy A. Schmeltzer

Tracy Schmeltzer joined Church Mutual as a messenger clerk in February 1989. She moved to Underwrite in 1990 and was promoted to the underwriter in September 1997. Schmeltzer was promoted to Underwriting Supervisor in April 2006, Underwriting manager in 2016, and director – Special Business Unit in 2018. She was promoted to assistant vice president of camps, agencies, and Groups in January 2022. Her responsibilities include oversight and strategic direction of the Camps, Agency, and Groups center of excellence.

Schmeltzer earned her bachelor’s degree in business administration from Upper Iowa University. She also has earned two professional designations, Associate in Insurance Services (AIS) and Associate in Insurance (AINS).
