Betsy Janes

Betsy Janes is a seasoned professional in advocacy and government relations with extensive experience spanning various organizations. Currently serving as the Director of Advancement at Holy Cross District High School since May 2024, Betsy also holds the position of Senior Vice President and Government Relations Director at Churchill Downs Incorporated since December 2018. Betsy has contributed to the American Cancer Society Cancer Action Network as a Senior State and Local Campaigns Manager since May 2015 and previously worked as a Regional Legislative Analyst, Southern Region. Prior roles include Campaign Coordinator at Smoke-free Kentucky, Director of Advocacy at the American Lung Association, and Paralegal at the Legal Aid Society of Louisville. Betsy's academic credentials include a Master's degree in Public Administration and a Bachelor's degree in Political Science and Government, both from the University of Louisville.
