John Howard

John Howard has a diverse work experience in various finance and analytics roles. John has worked as the VP of Marketing and Analytics at Churchill Downs Incorporated since February 2022. Prior to that, they served as the Sr. Director of Gaming Operations and Analytics at the same company. Before joining Churchill Downs, they worked as the Senior Director of Finance at Derby City Gaming from June 2018 to November 2020. John also held the position of Senior Director of Finance at Miami Valley Gaming from September 2016 to June 2018. Additionally, they worked at Horseshoe Cincinnati as the Vice President of Finance from February 2014 to August 2016 and as the Director of Analytics from July 2013 to February 2014. John Howard was the Director of Finance at Horseshoe Cleveland from May 2012 to July 2013. John also held various positions at Horseshoe Southern Indiana, including Director of Finance from October 2010 to January 2012 and Director of Continuous Improvement from June 2009 to October 2010. Earlier in their career, they worked as the Director of Regional Planning & Analysis at Harrah's Entertainment, Inc. from 2006 to 2009. John was also involved in strategic planning at Humana from 2002 to 2005 and began their career as a Financial Analyst at MCI from 2000 to 2002.

John Howard received their M.B.A. in Business from the University of Florida - Warrington College of Business in 2002. Prior to that, they obtained their J.D. in Law from the University of Georgia School of Law between 1995 and 1998.
