Andras Balogh

Co-founder / CTO at Churchill Navigation

Andras Balogh began their career in 2004 as a Programmer at Ready At Dawn Studios, where they contributed to the prototyping and first playable phase of the game Daxter for the Sony PSP. Andras researched the PSP's GPU and ported the PC engine over to it, as well as prototyping early rendering effects for fur and volumetric shadows on x86. Andras also helped out on the toolchain. In 2005, they co-founded Churchill Navigation and served as CTO, spearheading the development of the Earthscape 3D globe visualization engine. This engine was used for various projects on various platforms, and was the first 3D planet rendering engine running on the iPhone 3G in 2008.

Andras Balogh earned a Master of Science (M.Sc.) in Information Technology from Budapest University of Technology and Economics between 1998 and 2003.
