Javier Mora Macias

Javier Mora Macias is a plant biotechnologist and agricultural engineer specializing in genetics, genomics, molecular biology, high-throughput phenotyping, and plant breeding. They currently serve as a Principal Investigator at CIATEJ and have held a Postdoctoral Associate position at the Global Institute for Food Security. Javier's previous experience includes working as a Breeder at Mattivi Group and as a Research Assistant at REVERDECE, where they contributed to various projects related to plant breeding and cultivation. They are pursuing a Doctor of Philosophy in Plant Biotechnology and a Master's degree at CINVESTAV-IPN, alongside a Bachelor's degree in Agricultural Engineering from Universidad Michoacana de San Nicolás de Hidalgo.
