Tim Baxter

Principal Investigator/investigations Manager - Safety at Department of Energy, Mines, Industry Regulation and Safety

Tim Baxter has a diverse work experience spanning over several years. Tim began their career as a Senior Constable at WA Police in 1990 and worked there until 2007. Following that, they joined Comcare as an Investigator, where they conducted complex investigations related to breaches of Occupational Health and Safety legislation. In 2008, Tim joined The Australian Building and Construction Commission as a Senior Investigator until 2011. From 2011 onwards, they worked at the Department of Mines, Industry Regulation, and Safety, Western Australia. Tim'sroles there include Principal Investigator OHS and Principal Investigations Officer - Safety, where they assumed the responsibilities of a Special Inspector of Mines and conducted inspections, evaluations, and investigations related to mine compliance with occupational health and safety regulations.

Tim Baxter received a Diploma of Government Investigations from Charles Sturt University in 2008.
