CIC bioGUNE
Adrian Vicente Barrueco is an early-stage researcher and PhD student at CIC bioGUNE since September 2021, specializing in molecular biology and biomedicine. Prior research experience includes an internship at Universidad Complutense de Madrid under Dr. Paloma Bragado Domingo, focusing on prostate cancer metastasis, and completing a Master's thesis in the Department of Biochemistry and Molecular Biology II under Dr. Almudena Porras. Adrian's academic background includes a Bachelor's degree in Biotechnology from Universidad de Extremadura and a Master's in Biochemistry, Molecular Biology, and Biomedicine from Universidad Complutense de Madrid. Additional qualifications include coursework in investment skills at Esade and language studies in English for health sciences at Universidad Internacional Menéndez Pelayo and German at EOI Business School. Currently, Adrian is pursuing a doctorate at Universidad del País Vasco.

CIC bioGUNE (Center for Cooperative Research in Biosciences) is a non-profit biomedical research organization, founded in 2003 at the initiative of the Department of Industry of the Basque Government. We are working to give research in the Basque Country an international focus, incorporating foreign researchers at all levels and strengthening international cooperation since, nowadays, excellence is defined in global terms.
